Radiant College, a proud extension of Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED), warmly welcomed the new BTech Ed. IT 2025 Batch with a well-organized Orientation and Welcome Program held on 28 November 2025.

The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the students and highlighted the college’s commitment to providing quality, industry-focused education in Information Technology and Education.

The BTech Ed. IT program at Radiant College is a unique initiative of Kathmandu University designed to prepare competent IT professionals, educators, and TVET leaders. This four-year program aims to meet the rising need for skilled manpower in Nepal’s growing digital and technical sectors.

Through the orientation, students were introduced to the college’s learning environment, values, and expectations—encouraging them to embrace innovation, discipline, and continuous learning.

The program was made more meaningful with the presence of respected guests from Kathmandu University.

Prof. Bal Chandra Luitel, Dean, and Manager Shiva Nath Mainali from the School of Education shared inspiring messages focused on transformative learning and the future of technology-enabled education.

Both Prof. Luitel and Mr. Mainali delivered insightful remarks about KUSOED and its academic programs. They highlighted the growing scope of the BTech Ed. IT and BIT (Dual Degree) programs, emphasizing their relevance in today’s rapidly evolving digital world.

He reminded the audience that the IT sector is progressing at a “rocket speed,” and educators as well as institutions must be prepared to adapt and grow accordingly.

Their guidance helped students understand the importance of staying curious, developing leadership skills, and contributing positively to the IT and education sectors.
